Rewilding

Rewilding
Even a cheetah stops
sometimes and takes
a nap. Speed is overrated.
True wealth is time
slowed down
and savored. Luxuriate
in each breath. Inhale
the scent of the sea.
Feel the warm, firm press
of your animal body on the bed,
the drowsy ease of this moment.
The cloudless sky
as empty and quiet as your mind.
Waiting doesn’t have to be painful.
Sequoia seed takes its sweet time
to sprout and grow.
Life unhurried
two-point-o.
